YEG Tix Privacy Policy
Effective date: October 18, 2026
YEG Tix ("we", "us") is operated by Ouelf Holdings Inc. of St. Albert, Alberta, Canada. We resell Edmonton Oilers and Edmonton Oil Kings tickets at Rogers Place, and sometimes tickets to other events.
This policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to our website (yegtix.com), our Facebook Page (YEG TIX) and Facebook Messenger, and our text number.
1. What we collect
We collect only what you give us when you contact us or buy tickets:
- Your name
- Your email address
- Your phone number
- The content of messages you send us through Facebook Messenger, SMS/text, or the yegtix.com contact form. This includes ticket requests and order details, such as the game, seats, quantity, and price.
Payments: We take payment by Interac e-Transfer. We do not collect or store credit card numbers.
2. How we use it
We use your information only to:
- Answer your questions and ticket requests
- Send you quotes
- Sell you tickets and transfer them to you
- Send you an invoice and keep a record of the sale
We do not use your information for any other purpose without asking you first.
3. Automated assistant
We use an automated assistant to help us read, sort, and draft replies to messages. It helps route your message and suggests responses. It only uses your information for the purposes listed above.
4. Who we share it with
We never sell your personal information.
We share it only with service providers that help us run YEG Tix, and only as needed for the purposes above:
- Twilio: sends and receives text messages, and powers our messaging inbox
- Meta (Facebook): delivers Facebook Messenger conversations with our Page
- Wave Accounting: creates invoices and keeps sales records
- Ticketmaster (including Fans First accounts): transfers tickets to you
- Google: stores our business records
- Cloudflare: stores messages and website form submissions so we can answer them
- Youform: runs the contact form on yegtix.com
- DeoMail: runs the tix@yegtix.com email and sends application notifications
Some of these providers may store or process information outside Canada, including in the United States. When that happens, your information may be subject to the laws of that country.
We may also disclose information if the law requires it.
5. How long we keep it
We keep your information only as long as we need it for the purposes above. Invoices and sales records are kept for as long as Canadian tax and accounting laws require. When we no longer need your information, we delete it.
6. How we protect it
We use reasonable safeguards to protect your information, including password-protected accounts and limiting access to the people who run YEG Tix. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to keep your information safe.
7. Your rights
Under Canadian privacy law, including the federal Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and Alberta's Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA), you have the right to:
- Ask what personal information we hold about you and how we use it
- Ask us to correct information that is wrong
- Withdraw your consent to how we use your information (this may mean we can't complete a ticket order)
- Ask us to delete your information (see Section 9)
- Make a complaint
To use any of these rights, contact us using the details in Section 11. If you are not happy with our answer, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada (priv.gc.ca) or the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner of Alberta (oipc.ab.ca).
8. Tix4Kidz applications
Tix4Kidz is our monthly giveaway of Oilers tickets for a child who has never been to an Oilers game before. Applications at tix4kidz.yegtix.com must be submitted by a parent or legal guardian, or by someone who confirms they have the parent or guardian's permission.
What we collect: the parent/guardian's name, email, and phone number, and the child's first name, age, city or area, favourite Oilers player, and the story of why the experience would mean so much to them.
How we use it: only to choose the monthly winner and to contact the winning family. Applications are stored in Cloudflare and in a private Google Sheet, and a copy is emailed to tix@yegtix.com. We never sell application information or share it with anyone else.
Deleting an application: a parent or guardian can ask us to delete an application at any time by emailing tix@yegtix.com. Applications that were not selected can be deleted on request.
9. Deleting your data
You can ask us to delete your personal information at any time, including data from your Facebook Messenger conversations with us.
How to ask:
- Email tix@yegtix.com with the subject "Delete my data", or
- Send a message to the YEG TIX Facebook Page saying you want your data deleted.
Please tell us the name, email, phone number, or Facebook account you used to contact us, so we can find your information.
What happens next:
- We will confirm we received your request.
- We will delete your personal information from our messaging inbox and our records within 30 days.
- We will tell you when it's done.
If we must keep some information by law, such as invoices needed for tax records, we will keep only what is required, for only as long as it is required, and tell you what we kept.
You can also delete your copy of a conversation in Messenger yourself. Information that Meta holds about your Facebook account is covered by Meta's own privacy policy.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the new version on this page and change the effective date above.
